The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is down on the delta south of Richmond. This beautiful park has nice walking trails, viewing blinds and towers. Over 300 kinds of birds have been recorded here. $5 entrance fee and $1 for a pouch of bird seed to feed the many ducks, geese, and cranes. It’s a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. Also just to the east of here there is an area where bald eagles congregate during the winter. I think we saw numbers approaching 100. Here are a couple of snaps from a recent trip.
